P.L.C Solutions ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how we look after it.

What we collect

When you create an account, place an order, or use our contact or "Sell to Us" forms, we collect the details you provide. These may include your name, email address, delivery details, phone number, company name, order contents, and the content of your enquiry.

We also record limited technical security data, such as session identifiers, IP addresses in employee audit records, and timestamps. Passwords are stored only as salted, one-way hashes.

How we use it

To respond to your enquiry or valuation request.
To arrange quotes, collections and payments you have asked for.
To operate customer accounts, process and fulfil store orders, prevent fraud, and provide order support.
To keep records of our correspondence with you.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to keep you informed.

Where it goes

Form submissions are delivered by email to our administrative team. Store account and order records are held in our secured commerce database. Payment is processed by Stripe; Stripe receives the payment and delivery details required to complete checkout under its own privacy terms. P.L.C Solutions does not receive or store your full card number.

Cookies and sessions

We use a strictly necessary, HTTP-only session cookie to keep your basket, protect forms against forgery, and keep you signed in. We also use a strictly necessary consent cookie to remember your cookie choices. These cookies are not used for advertising and expire automatically.

If you allow functional storage, this browser remembers your manual light or dark theme choice. The automatic time-based theme works without functional storage. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies, but those categories remain off unless you explicitly enable them.

Stripe may use cookies and similar technology when providing payment services, and Google reCAPTCHA may do so on protected forms. These services are loaded only where required for checkout, fraud prevention or form security. You can review or change your optional choices using Cookie settings.

How long we keep it

We retain enquiry correspondence only as long as needed to respond and meet legal obligations. Account and order records may be retained for customer service, accounting, tax, fraud prevention and other legal obligations. You can ask us about the retention period that applies to your data.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct or request deletion of the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@plcsolutions.uk.

Devices and data-bearing media

Separately from this website, equipment we collect or purchase may contain personal data. All data-bearing media is wiped to recognised standards or physically destroyed as part of our standard process, with certification available on request.
